El Alfonso XI se viste de fiesta para festejar la Navidad como cada mes de diciembre en un proyecto tradicionalmente elaborado por el Departamento de Dibujo que se encarga, entre otras cosas, de coordinar a los alumnos y alumnas de
Educación Plástica Visual y Audiovisual de 1º,2º, 3º y 4º de ESO. En esta actividad se
trabajan los conceptos de Geometría plana aplicada al Diseño además de fomentar el espíritu de convivencia y solidaridad.

Hoy han comenzado en la Biblioteca del Centro las primeras eliminatorias del I TORNEO DE DEBATE DEL IES ALFONSO XI protagonizadas por los alumnos de 1º de Bachillerato del Centro.
Con el tema: ¿Vivimos mejor que nuestros padres? y la conveniencia de las tareas fuera del horario escolar, nuestros alumnos han dado muestras de una gran altura dialéctica.

our english trip: A CHIRITSMAS

Hello everyone!
We are two new students in this blog. Our names are María and Lydia and we
study third of ESO.
Here we are going to post some notices about our experiencies when we go to
trips, about culture in our town, and more interesting things that we
experience.
In this case, we are here to talk about a trip we did on November 23. The
trip was organized by the English teachers.
We went to Granada and did two different things.
1.
The most important thing we did was going
to a theatre (CAJAGRANADA) and we saw a play by Charles Dickens called: “A
CHRISTMAS CAROL”.
In the play, the main character called Ebenezer Scrooge, is a man who
thinks only of money. After the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come shows Scrooge
his lonely and miserable death, he changes his ways and becomes a charitable
person.
1.
The Ghost of Scrooge´s dead partner Marley
visits him. Marley is wearing chains and is condemned to misery after falling
to do anything good for humankind.
2.
The Ghost of Christmas Past visits Scrooge
and takes him on a tour of Scrooge’s childhood, reminding him of the sister he
loved and those he has disappointed with his lack of sympathy.
3.
The Ghost of Christmas Present shows
Scrooge the homes of his Clerk and his nephew, where toasts are made to
Scrooge’s health and families celebrate the season.

After that, we went to the famous shopping centre:
“NEVADA SHOPPING”.
We spent two
hours there and we bought what we wanted.
It was a very
good trip because we really liked the play and buying new things in the
shopping centre.

El próximo día 15 de diciembre a las 12:00 se celebrará en el Teatro Martínez Montañés una jornada de MAGIA EDUCATIVA organizada por el Excmo.Ayuntamiento de Alcalá dirigida a los alumnos de los centros educativos: Jose Garnica, Alonso de Alcalá, Antonio de Mendoza y Alfonso XI.Nuestros alumnos de 1º de ESO irán acompañados por sus profesores.
Os adjuntamos la carta informativa del acto dirigida a los padres y a las madres.

El abogado D. Antonio Cano Murcia, prestigioso autor de numerosas obras de temática jurídica como Diccionario Legal del Medio Ambiente(ed.Aranzadi) o Teoría y práctica del convenio urbanístico(ed.. Aranzadi), deleitó al auditorio compuesto por alumnos de 2º de Bachillerato con sus conocimientos sobre la Constitución en una ponencia que se realizó en la Biblioteca del Centro a las 13h. Los alumnos tuvieron la oportunidad de hacer preguntas sobre la actualidad y su relación con el tema expuesto.
